This firmware version is a special firmware version designed for newer releases of
2680s with "enhanced" security. I am not sure if you can successfully convert
older 2680s to accept this version without further problems. I have not tried so
myself.

You can phone with special DCT4 firmware. BUT, phone will lose it's singals. Even you do hardware modifiction or use any kind of PM file.

Phone with 56.17 cannot be used with 6.17 and same phone with 6.17 cannot be used with 56.17. However, you can flash them!
