Lumia 720 dead, Flash, TP or Jtag for repair?


Hello, is the first time that have a Lumia w/o to know RM, P.Code itc..., the customer has passed to me how Lumia 710 but no, is Lumia 720, (no think 720T), that not Power on, battery not charge and is how dead.

how can repair this nokia, Flash i think no becouse phone whith Volume up and power not vibrate and nothingh...

Can test whith Test Point, (is more easy of Jtag),?, new vers. 11.1 ceck in automatic all need to write: M.B.R. itc.. when i select Windows 8 and 720 model , is right write all cecked parts?, after this procedure i've always need flash device right?.....

If think i cannot repair whith TP, i've downloaded the BIG BOOT afp File for use Jtag, but if not is obbligatory and can repair only whith TP and Flash after, i use this way, have just soldered the wires for TP...

Wait a answere for choise how repair whith Best ATF...

For Win8 phones, JTAG is more easier to solder.

But eMMC TP is Free.

Just make sure you match correct RM-XXX with phone...

No import i've Jtag activated in my ATF, had thinked was more easy soldder TP wires, but ok want test whith Jtag....

How can ceck the RM? i've seen that all 720 have RM-885, isn't wrote in any part,

1. Connect JTAG wires to your 720, make sure USB Flex Cable is connected properly.

2. Download this
LUMIA_WP8_BOOT_CHECK - Download - 4shared

3. Use file in Step 2 with ATF JTAG... It will read info of phone and tell you exactly what it is...


Download the correct BIG BOOT File for it.

Hello, i've connected all wires and cheched 10 times for JTAG, but always "No Devices found in Chain", only change i've done in Jtag is n°7 BROWN, (for solder more easy cables have removed the plate and welded BROWN on point of this), but i think it's the ground and is the same....

7. Click RESTORE BOOT button to Start Boot Repairs

Software log says, you did not do anything, just selected WP8 BOOT CHECK file.
You need to click on Read Info button after selecting the file and than connect phone on USB cable.

@Angel,

yes of course, isn't the first one that i repair or unlock via Jtag or TP, but at this point is possible that Usb Connector is Broked?, not have any answered from this side, i've re-assembled phone after charged Full the Battery whith external charger and if connect usb cable not have any signal... Jtag is been cecked more times,
have need of change this connector first or problem can be other?,

We re-checked wires solder on PCB, always same error with Lumia 925 dead phone. We just cant do it JTAG.

Well it simply means you did not solder it correctly... and don't forget to remove BATTERY Flex Clip. Disconnect battery for JTAG to work properly.

Which devices driver must appear in pc when we connect usb cable to phone to make a jtag connection??

Because we re checked wire soldering in various lumia models and jtag coonection not found.

And i've just answere ONLY ATF DRIVERS...no more...eccept if is Samsung or other model that requiere Specific drivers, like Qualcomm Nokia Drivers, but this is another thingh.

When you Jtag Fail, ceck carefully in section Why Fail, reasos can be different.
