manually install new amss and adsp updates from WP 7.8 ? - GSM-Forum

Hi threre,

I want to install a new custom rom, but it's not booting because of outdated amss and adsp files.
So, for making the new custom rom work, i need updated amss and adsp files, from the latest 7.8 release.
So i planned on restoring DLOAD, flashing the latest 7.8 release that my files on partition 3 are getting updated. Then restoring to qualcomm.

But as i've already posted, i'm stuck on error: Data Rejected at SEQ 0x3, Status : WRITE OSBL CERTIFICATE FAILED

So i put Qualcomm back onto my phone now.

But i really need those updated files.
Is there any way to update these files without Dload ?

When you say partition 3, you mean partition 3 or MBR or EBR ?

Anyway, if your "custom rom" is a replacement for partition "WP_OS" 0x48, then you
can use that BINARY file and RAW Write it via ATF Direct eMMC tab.

Remember that before you do anything, you need to BACKUP the PHONE's identity
via that Phone Backup tab also inside ATF Direct eMMC Tab.

I managed to put Win 7.8 on 610C which did not have any official Win 7.8. I used
610 non modified ROM, and also 610 AMSS, so now the 610C accepts regular SIM
cards as well and not just the RUIM cards required by 610C.

Yes, i mean all files on partition 3 of the phone (the partitions you get when you fdisk -l in ubuntu)

But finally, I managed it to "fix" this error: Data Rejected at SEQ 0x3, Status : WRITE OSBL CERTIFICATE FAILED

As I bought my phone, i put Qualcomm via TP on it, and (luckily) made a full backup of all partitions using Ubuntu.
Now, I restored all 9 partitions, one by one. First partition 1, then 2 .... then 9

Then i restored DLOAD under eMMC direct tab, and voila - the error was gone! I was able to flash the full 7.8 firmware.

So all files on partition 3 should be updated now. I only need to go back to qualcomm again, and that's it
