Member: 651945 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20,118 | <<< Samsung eMMC Write Protection Removal >>> 2. So if eMMC is Samsung, just wire eMMC Connection and do this: If you do not know eMMC Pinout, then you can Find the eMMC Pinout via following Steps here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f609...orial-1908984/ So here we see eMMC is SAMSUNG Brand and PERM_WRITE_PROTECT is YES... This means eMMC is WRITE PROTECTED... So here just select Advance Function "Samsung Remove Write Protection" then click "YES". After Operation will finish, click "SCAN EMMC" again to see the updated Write Protection Information... see here it is already Removed... *** This procedure WILL NOT TOUCH DATA on your eMMC. Whatever was inside your eMMC before the procedure is 100% same as after the procedure, except only that Write Protection was Removed! *** |

Member: 651945 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20,118 | Because some phones get Write Protected due to BUG in Phone Operating System and Samsung eMMC Firmware. Example, many complained about getting WP = ON after updating their Lumia 520 to WP 8.1. This bricks the phone... We cannot boot repair it because it is WRITE PROTECTED. So need to remove Write Protection to fix the Phone bug. |

Member: 651945 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20,118 | @bk.gsm 1. First open phone. Check if samsung eMMC Inside. 2. Then check 1 phone, connect with eMMC Tool to see if WP is ON... If both 1 and 2 is YES, then you will be able to fix it. If you can show me that other eMMC Brand also have WP problem, then I can check on these brands as well. |
