ADAPTER USED --ATF 4in1 Adapter V2

Solution --

1. Check and confirm soldering is perfect. Reduce wire length as low as 5cm

If you are getting same error --

2. --

4 in 1 Adapter --

  • Check 1.8V, 2.8V And 3.3V are OK
  • 3.3V may be near 3V only--IF 3.3v is not OK continue --IF OK Please STOP HERE and excuse me

Why 3.3V is not OK??

The regulator used is -- AMS117 3.3V
Datasheet -- Attachment 346792

  • There should be at-least 1.25V difference between Input and output of AMS117 series regulators
  • Its a 5V to 3.3V regulator

Input for AMS117 3.3V regulator?

  • Input of AMS117 - 4.2V
  • Output expected 3.3V But since min. V difference between I/P and O/P is 1.25V, SO , obtained O/P 4.2V-1.25= 2.95V

So the 3.3V is not getting.

What to do?

  • Remove AMS117 3.3V regulator
  • Provide 3.3V externally.
  • Set max current 200mA
  • Vcc - 2.8V , Vccq - 3.3V
Note-- If Box goes OFF when connecting adapter, remove R3 (zero ohm R) near sd-card connector

Change Vccq to 3.3V in ATF SW . These steps helped me. Hope this will solve the not connecting issue. Try

EDIT --

1. No need to remove R3
2. NOT APPLICABLE FOR I9300

Excuseme, instead of all this Complicate work, Why not modific this First version of 4 in 1 adapter in EASY MODE?

Just solder 2 pull up resistor of 100Ohms from 3.3V in adapter to CMD and DATA0 lol

EMMC DIRECT connection work with Charme and have always Stable Voltage.

How many Scientists have just to complicating things

Yes brother. I use Version2 type of 4 in 1 adapter But the image I uploaded is V1.

This solution is applicable because 3.3V marked on the adapter is 2.95V when measured with a multi-meter.(I checked the regulator --its OK, not damaged) Its a design mistake I think. The designer used a 3.3V regulator but he didn't consider that the regulator needs 5V input. 3.3V output is available only if the regulator gets 5V as input.
Here the regulator gets 4.2V as input (checked). So the output of 3.3V regulator will be 4.2-1.25V=2.95V. A minimum voltage difference of 1.25V drop occurs in that regulator. I found it in the datasheet.(checked)

Pull-up resistor is included in v2 adapter. A switch is provided, Exynos mode switch. If it turned ON pull-up resistor is connected to 3.3V.

The intention of my post is simple. 1.Verify all voltages 2.8 and 3.3 is OK, 2. If not... why? and 3. what to do then

I think you are right. EMMC may work @2.95V but it was easy to connect when proper 3.3V is provided. After some Direct EMMC repair, Now I know exactly we don't need an adapter too. Data0, CLK, CMD, 2.8V ,3.3V and GND is all what we need . Thank you for your reply. I will try to make solutions more simple like you said. I am beginner.. learning

Sure are doing any Mistake.

Read Sticky thread by yourself next time.

A) http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f609...nouts-1941023/

B) http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f609...m-n-o-1936304/

Itc.... So open phone and Loock what Type of EMMC there's inside, (Write Sigle), and where in mounted, (model of phone).

Atf isn't JTAG BOX, support some Specific EMMC Samsung and any other type NOT ALL, if want one JTAG BOX purchase one Box like RIFF, itc...
