No, to Authorize a phone no need any credit . But you must have ATF network ACTIVATED in your BOX .

Nitro comes with ATF network activated & Chrome box need to activate it @25 credit . after that authorization if free & unlimited uses

1st educate yourself what is Contact service , What is the cause of in SL3 . It will easy to you to understand .
