Just to confirm that it is RX2 problem... Can you open your cable, then desolder the RX2 wire from the
RX2 pin ?

And check if you get same error.

@agentot

Ok, now we confirm that RX2 is the problem.. Reconnect now the RX2 wire and ready your mutitester.

Set to Continuity check, connect cable to phone and check the reading on the RJ-45 head.

GND to RX2 should be about 0.510 (PIN8 and PIN7 of the RJ-45)

Do you get the same reading?

@agentot

And when you connect the Multitester prongs directly to the phones RX2 and GND pads,
do you also get 0.890 ?

Ok, now try to re-allign the cable at the back of the phone until you will get
a very similar reading to 1,600 on the RJ-45 pins. This will give you a proper
connection.

Then try BUSCheck with EXE found here:
When dct4 will support fbus flashing

the unofficial one...

Good Luck

@ kelvin^_^

All X3 cables modified or unmodified can read SIMLOCKS, phone info etc...

It can make phone go into Local or Test Mode.

However, you need to modify your cable to make it use 2 MBUS data lines
in order for you to use your cable to FLASH your phone.

Your error "BootFlashModeDCT5Ex Failed" is NOT a
bug in our software. Umodifed cables or improperly connected cables will 100% give you
errors in booting or flashing.

For more information about X3 cable modification and some explanation why "most" X3
cables will not work, please visit this thread:

TX2 error on nokia X3 using Gpg GTI cable

Here is my cable ...

I cannot describe it better than with this picture.

If your cable is 1:1 to my picture, and the connections are OK,, then it should work

My Wires are just about 10 inches in total length.

I have 3 X3 cables from 3 different factories and after modifying them with dual mbus
and some adjustment in allignment, they are all working now.

Take note if the pins in my drawing have no color, then do not connect anything
to them of remove the gold pin completely from the cable.
