Server Security/Performance ..Updates.... 2011-10-21 - GSM-Forum

We've Done with the Server New Settings and Seciruty tings to ensure more secure and stable performance.

1. We have installed more securities with the Firewall to configured it to reduce the DDoS attack. We have scanned the server for suspicious scripts and processes with that.
2. Than we have installed DDoS Protection Methods, which blocks the IPs which are having more than xx connections with the server.

The above two steps reduced the attacks and also lowered the server load.

3. After that, we have revised all the server/cpanel configurations and make necessary changes in Tweak Settings, Security Settings, and did many other minor changes to increase the stability and security.
4. Than we disabled all the unwanted services which were running on the server to reduce resource usage and vulnerabilities.
5. Than we have updated the cPanel to install latest security and cPanel patches.
6. We compiled Apache and PHP with the necessary modules.
7. After successful Apache compilation, we have removed old nginx and installed latest version of Nginx.
8. Than we monitored the server for load and DDoS attack for about 24 hours.
9. In the last, we have reconfigured the Hardware Firewall and revised all the security configurations.

I beleive we still need more things to do with the forum Scripts to increase the Performance.
please reply here if u face any problem with Server or forum scripts..

(plz save the server space here and dont reply with thanks and good work posts) I'll delete all Unnecessary posts

forum speed is still not enough !
also i got webgate error on today morning ..... is server machine updated too ?

Server back good................but working slow.....thanks button used time got this error

some errors still found .

Nvm Glad to see Forum is back to work and for the User's who are complaining for bad speed as we mentioned the new change's above,The new security will help us to speed up the browsing.
you will see the change's along the time .

Just help us to speed up the server
Delete the Post's which are useless;Post's only with Thanks...!,Great,good job,Blah blah which are not useful Just delete em this will decrease the load of server
