UFC3GS and UFS3 and MXKEY [Answered] Hi all, just purchased the UFC3GS bundle kit for my UFS3 box and MXKEY dongle. I'm trying to connect a 5310 MX phone, but I keep getting 'Phone not responding'. I've connected the phone as per the UFC Selector tool using the UFC Cable No. 3, resistor set to 7.5K, and power 1=VCC(Red) 2=BSI(Green) 3=GND(Black). In the youtube video I noticed the phone goes into Local Mode once all connected, my phone does not power up! I've used two other 5310 and E71 phone and the same issues. Do you think it could be the UFC3GS kit? Grateful for any input here.

Hi Guys, tried interchanging the Green and Black power clips but still the same problem. Do you know if the phone is supposed to kick into Local Mode once the power cable is plugged into the UFC3GS module? Thanks for your replys.

Hi yes, that seems the next logical step. My UFS3 box does not have a HWK module hence I'm using the MXKey USB dongle. I will purchase a JAF/UFS unlock cable for the 5310 and I will tell you the outcome. Thanks all for your kind iput.

Hi and thanks for all the input...I've finally managed to solve the problem with the help from the guys from *******.com I bought the UFC3GS from them and they were more than happy to talk me through the process. Indeed what you guys said regarding the pinouts and power connections was spot on. 1=VCC 2=GND (AND NOT BSI) 3=BSI I taped over the pin no.8 so 0000 x00 Resistor set to 7.5 (No. 7) Firstly we connected the phone via USB directly to the PC and let the drivers install and then set the phone to PC Mode. Then I made sure my Nokia PC Suite was not running (VERY IMPORTANT) and refreshed the supported devices and locate the Generic USB device. I was able to scan the phone in this mode. But every time we tried through the my UFS3 box via the UFC (RJ45) no luck!! We finally tracked it down to the UFS drivers, uninstalled the lot MXKey and UFS3. Installed MXKey first and then just plug in the UFS3 box (don't use the install program). Now when it asks for the UFS3 drivers selected the drivers from the MXKey\...\drivers\ufs\ folder. Please note my UFS3 box does not have the HWK module. I hope this may help other users and thanks again to all for your valuable input!
