Copy this VISONary.apk to your sdacrd and install it to the phone

NOTE: USB DEBUGGING MUST BE ENABLED FOR VISIONARY TO WORK!



How do I use it?

It's pretty simple really. The options appear as follows:

• Temproot on boot - use this to automatically Temproot on each boot (I suggest Temprooting manually first to confirm all is well before enabling this)

• Run visionary.sh after root - this allows you to run a script (as root) after rooting. The script file is /data/local/visionary.sh

• Set system r/w after root - this allows you to leave the /system partition read/write after root

• Temproot now - root temporarily (the root wil be lost after reboot)

• Attempt permroot now - attempt to apply a permanent root (please read the safety information below before doing this!)

• Unroot now - this will unroot your device

Now I am going to run two different sets of instructions (you'll understand why in a minute):


Go to Android Market and download : Terminal Emulator Method
1. Start terminal emulator up on your device.(I prefer this method b/c you can see the output.)

2. type "su" + enter to gain root privileges.

3. Type : cd /sdcard/root (then press enter.)

4. Type : sh root.sh (then press enter.)

5. Follow the on screen prompts.

if all goes well you should be rooted and have S-OFF means that the NAND portion of the device is unlocked and can be written to for unlocking the NCK lock
