3g No service (gold prong missing) advice pls

Hi guys, Im pretty good with 3g's but have stumbled upon this problem and I am confused as to best approach.

Refurbished a 3g and noticed the gold prong (gold antenna clip) at the bottom of the logic board was missing. Went ahead and refurbished phone and jailbreaked and unlocked.

To fix the gold prong I took a replacement a placed a small amout of super glue on one edge (trying to ensure there was a good metal to metal connection), however in my stupidity too much glue went on to the board and now there is obviously no connection as the glue looks like it has coated the entire pad on the logic board.

I removed the replacement prong and have tried to clean the pad with Isopropanol 99.9% alcohol but to me it lookds like there is still some glue n the pad itself.

So my question is I obviously need to clean the pad on the logic board where the gold prong sits on, any ideas how i should go about removing the super glue?

And lastly as Im not experienced at all with soldering, is there a way to fix gold prong to board without solder?

Hi ph0nejacker,

This is what I use to remove contact glue, that work perfectly!

Maybe you can find similar product (glue remover), but for me loctite is the best (a bit hard to find here). Very easy to clean.

I try some different product before.. But without the same success.

Acetone removes superglue. There is no substitute for soldering...
