3GS won't power on, logic board and battery OK - GSM-Forum

Hi all,

Got a 3GS 16GB off auction site and it wouldn't power on, no life at all (calling this phone A). I replaced the battery with a known good battery but still no life. So I took the logic board and tried it in a known working 3GS (phone B) and the board is fine.

I also tried the known working logic board (B) in the dead phone (A) and still no signs of life.

I reset the phone (B) with the board (A) in it and put the board (A) back into the dead phone (A) and still no life.

I've cleaned the power switch but still no good. Before I start swapping bits in and out is there anything else I should be checking?

so it doesn't even power on with the charging cable?

---> replace the dock connector

if it does

---> replace the headphonejack flex
