is antenna in rear case ?

Hi All,
I recently broke my 5 screen so thought i would change the rear case at the same time as the screen , It went well apart from breaking the power button with my tweezers .
I used it with the broken screen till the new button flex arrived but noticed although i had full signal when i was in good coverage area , when in a bad area (at work ) i got no service where as before i would get one sometimes 2 bars .

I replaced the button flex and screen in the hope my signal would improve but still get the same , no service at work .
When i move to an area which i know has good signal i still have no service until i try and use it or switch airplane mode on and off again ..
Is the antenna for the 5 built into the rear case ? , i am tempted to change the rear case back to my old one to see if i get my good signal back .
I have tried the reset network settings and also a hard reset .

OK . so took everything out again and made doubly sure i hadnt missed anything , still the same no service in low signal strength area .
So last night i changed the rear case back to my original battered one .
Sucess !! at work today i had 2 bars of signal all day and even got 3g outside !
so if anything its slightly better than it was originally ,,
so the replacement rear case WAS screwing my signal up !!!! strange.
