Use any instrument with a fine, sharp point. NO HEAT is necassary. I used a steak knife to scrape it off, and needed to use a magnifier to see it.

Hello I have done this on an ipad 2 which worked perfectly I am now trying to do this on the ipad mini 1st generation I have removed R1204 resistor connected to itunes and itunes thinks its an apple tv so i then tried to make jumper on R1205 but still stuck as itunes thinks its an apple tv is there a better pencil to use or will any pencil work
