check you removed r1204 correct as can look like is gone on some board but still there!

You have not removed the resistor clean or point is touching next resistor, clean the point and around it and you should restore...

Thanks for the suggestion, I did as you said and the strange thing is that Itunes now sees it as a A1475 again. I tried to do a restore anyways, but Itunes got hung up on preparing ipad for restore. So I cancelled the restore, but now my pc is not recognizing the ipad. Unfortunately accidentally ripped the home button ribbon cable, so I'll have to wait for that to arrive before I can do a hard reset. Any idea why Itunes would have recognized it as a A1475 again? Did I accidentally create a short?

As sead looks like you did not remove fully if at all and thats why you had restore error, now you have reconnected the point better for it to read as a1475 again...

Some of the airs the resistor blends in to the board so even under microscope its hard to see!
You could short LB or let battery run out instead of waiting for home button..

Yeah, my resistor was blended in and when I first looked I didn't even think there was a resistor there. Put on my wife's loupes on and barely saw it. Thought I removed it correctly since Itunes was downloading the A1474 ipsw, but I guess not. So even after removing Itunes should Itunes still be trying to restore with the A1475 ipsw? I am just hoping I am able to get my pc to read the Ipad again. I tried on 3 different pc's, so that it why I think a reset is needed. What is the best way to either drain the battery or short the LB? (logic board right)?

I dont think correct, you can work it out grounding resistors until you get the correct one...
Ground correct resistor and Ipad will enter dfu as wifi only, then you remove that resistor, from my testing it is only one resistor you need to remove..

I need a fully working air 2 to test on as 2 i have are dead but cam dead, got one working but wont enter recovery after dfu to restore!
