Can anyone recommend a method for detecting a Single ic/caps that heats up,
Especially when an entire region heats up

try ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL which ever dries first

I tried but I have a warming area and can not isolate one ic or cap.

use temperature on multimeter, freeze spray, or remove parts in that area
