hi,
any of you tried "BGA IC Epoxy Glue Remover"?
any opinion?
sometimes when i'm cleaning the glue mechanically some pads are broken or soldermask is removed...
thx!

is not ok...
if only one nand present, you must desolder old nand and put the new one in the socket of the old one

few things to be careful when lifting old nand:
- with a thin blade scrape the glue on all sides around the nand before heating to prevent desoldering nearby components
- when heating, protect nearby components with kapton tape or coins
- when heating, pe patient and try to insert the blade between nand and board without force; when the solder is melted the blade will enter easily

as long as you have all pads, it's ok...
so, i would use solder wick to clean pads and all traces of old solder then use some soldermask for masking the traces and ground.

also, it's possible that after new nand reball it will not fit perfectly. in this case you may need to scrape the old glue from the board (scrape it with a small knife and hotgun or with a thin tip of iron set at about 250-300 degrees)

just replaced nand on a ipad2 a1395; restore seems to finish successfully but after the restore is finished and ipad should restart it shuts down.
after push for few seconds on both power & home buttons the message "connect to itunes" appear and ask for restore...and so on...
sometimes, i am able to boot successfully and everything seems to be ok, but after a while is shuts down and ask for restore again...
any ideas?
thx!
