Member: 2652213 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | hello everybody !! amazing topic !! my ipad 3 has two sockets with one nand... if i place the new one nand in the other socket is that a problem ? because the old socket is not in very good condition :P but without short circuit .. the old was near to the cpu and i want solder the new away from the cpu. its this ok ? |

Member: 1675922 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 61 | as long as you have all pads, it's ok... so, i would use solder wick to clean pads and all traces of old solder then use some soldermask for masking the traces and ground. also, it's possible that after new nand reball it will not fit perfectly. in this case you may need to scrape the old glue from the board (scrape it with a small knife and hotgun or with a thin tip of iron set at about 250-300 degrees) |

Member: 1675922 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 61 | just replaced nand on a ipad2 a1395; restore seems to finish successfully but after the restore is finished and ipad should restart it shuts down. after push for few seconds on both power & home buttons the message "connect to itunes" appear and ask for restore...and so on... sometimes, i am able to boot successfully and everything seems to be ok, but after a while is shuts down and ask for restore again... any ideas? thx! |
