Yes it does if you replace NAND with a new NAND without icloud locked serial number. Or you can flash NAND with 64 bit programmer. (after you take it of the board)

No as long as you just swap NAND or change serial number in NAND.

Hello Forum,

I have IPAD 2 A1395 EMC2415 with 64GB (32 x 2) NAND Flash of Hynix. I have another 16GB TOSHIBA IPAD 2 NAND Flash.

I have removed both nand flash from my 64 GB ipad2 and replaced with 16GB. and the iTune is stuck on Waiting for IPAD error and on the ipad2 there is Apple Logo with Progress bar.

Could you please tell me where is the problem what should i do ?

Regards,
Shan

you placed the NAND on the correct spot. (Fare away from CPU?)
And you didnt made any damage to the board?

If i have this error is need to redo (reball) or reheat the NAND again.

what temp is set on the heatgun?
how large is the nozzle?
how long it should take before the solder is melting and nand can be removed?

Hi ,

I have checked the pads of my board deeply and repaired the PAD which was missing. Reball and resold the NAND and finally it worked.

Thanks forum,

Regards,
Shan

Hi All! I'm searching for an ME7** board, but I cant find in my region. (ME128 / MD*** and others of course available). So the serial rewrite will not work if I use a random board, and solder the iPad test points the place where the iPhone nand was??? I wont pay hundred bucks for a nand writer. Is there any other nand write technique, instead the nand replace? Thanks for the answer.

So you also get the sysfcg error? When you try to read the NAND.
But you can write to it?
