i have the same problem, when you check a resistors only appear R1204 but R1205 does not appear, however if you desoldering R1204 what will happen?

Don't play with the resistors its wifi iPad and it's locked by the serial number not with the imei . So you have to change the serial and that is in nand memory. You have to replace it from another one unlocked or with nand flash memory tool change the serial.
If the iPad is GSM/3G you simply remove the resistor so you can do it wifi only with no imei.

no need to desolder Nand ic but you need ipad 2 2nd generation
and it can be used for ipad 3, ipad 4 all wifi

This method will probably show u the apple id info i tried on a ipad mini 3 wifi version but it facetime came up empty. Give it a try and tell me if it reveals the apple id info

I do it just by MagicoDIAG if it is WIFI model, anyway. But for the GSM model need remove resistor and flash with the flash file of the WIFI iPad model and nothing else as it will get activated immediately after that....
The GSM model can also be bypassed with Arduino and some old iPad models without Arduino, just a tool called Sliver 6.2 etcetc
