i need urgent help please' re iphone 3gs not charging hi all

not been on here for a while' but im glad i came to the right place.

my problem is iphone 3gs' plug the lead in the laptop a apple lead and the red battery symbol shows some charge' the plug lead icon goes away' and the lighting bolt icon stays on, so it looks like its on charge but it stays the same.

when you plug it in the laptop theres no sound like before and itunes dont start automatically.

normally i say chuck it but its my wifes' and she loves her phone' and dont want a new one, so i have been trying my best to sort this out for her.

i bet one of you guys know the answer to this real headache.

any help please and thanks in advance.
ive got spares i can use if needed.

common to replace battery , try wall charger

done both no luck' it needs some type of by pass i have read' that if you use non apple chargers' the inner components dont like it, and overload.

so i could do with apple or phone engineer to give me some advice.

hey guys
quick update' i managed with a bit of trouble to get this to charge' but the signal keeps getting lost for my wifes giff gaff or very week' even after i changed the module.

any ideas guys please.
