Member: 2442839 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I phone 4 charging problem I have a I phone 4. A year ago the phone was dropped in water. We did the whole dry it out stuff and did a few repairs from a local phone repair shop. (they changed the screen because there was water blotches underneath and the battery was fried so we changed it.) Just included that in case it's relevant. So a few weeks ago the battery started losing charge quickly (not lasting as long as it should). Then it went dead completely. I bought a new battery and swapped it out myself. The problem I have is that it doesn't hold charge. So when I put the cable in, the lightening bolt shows. The charge percentage stays the same no matter how long I leave it.... It doesn't go up. When I connect to iTunes it connects fine and I did a backup. The charge percentage doesn't go up tho so I think the connector is fine. When the phone is off I Plug the charger in and it just starts up straight away, still doesn't charge but shows the lightening bolt at the top right. Gradually the battery went dead because I couldn't charge it. Now it doesn't turn on. If I plug it in, the phone vibrates but doesn't turn on or show a battery. What do I do! What could it be! Help please! |
