I just bought Tornado ir to try, good for connectors replacement but It seems to be hard job with me in some works as removing glue ICs. Needs very high temperature (up to 350 degree Celsius) that burning components around IC (I have nozzle for it) and also break the board. I really need best experiences from experts on iphone glue ICs ir rework please??
About T852 I think that's just the demo b/c it needs a glass to protect your eyes, you can not see clearly how the ICs' done?! (think only)

Hi expert,
Please get me some your experiences How to remove glue ics IN THE FIRST TIME that not burning the components and board? What temperature you using? do you need preheater? in case the board has been water damaged or cleaned by ultrasonic cleaner with thinner that could be burned easily even low temp rite? please

i have builded myself a IR dark station (no light, they are DARK IR invisible to see)...
it works very well replacing connector but for ICs i prefer hot air and use aluminum foil or kapton around the edge of the IC

Put the temperature on 150_200_250 and use Flux and scratch the glue with blade or tweezer when you remove all glue around ic put the temperature on 290_320 after 1 min (50 sec) you can remove the ic but before you can check the cap or resistore around the ic if its ready to remove or no,, but its for iphone 4 for iphone 4s you can remove the ic with 250_280 dont put the temperature on 300 if you do that you must reball all ic in the board

I actually have the one posted above by Ocnop, the T862 IR . They are all over **** at present.
It's fine and i use it for replacing some chips, especially the antennae chip on the 3gs.

It's no good for replacing Connectors really as it tends to soften or melt the plastic around them too much.

I do also use it for replacing the display chip on iphone 4 but it's still a little awkward.
You need to wear sun glasses while using it though lol.

I can't understand how anyone uses just Hotair guns?
How do you use the hot air gun under the microscope, I certainly don't have enough space.
That said, i really do need to upgrade my Microscope to one of the Bresser ones with more work space beneath the lens.
