Unfortunately a new LCD will not fix this issue as the issue is actually with how the logic board communicates with the LCD(not the LCD itself).

Ipad 2 filter chip replacement

Hello all,
I have an Ipad 2 with backlight problem after digitizer change. The L2200 filter is bad but I´m jumped it and didn´t work also. The only way to get brill on the screen was making the jumps with wire as you mentioned on early posts here but I have no bright control and the screen is a little bit dark. The big coil 4R7 and the diode are ok. I´m also measured the voltaje on the coil and is only 4Vcc, ¿how the circuit generate 20v for the backlight, is the "Boost converter" circuit?.
This circuit deliver 27v when open but it drops to 15.8v one´s solder the jump wire´s mentioned before. I think that the "Boost Coverter" don´t drive the backlight voltaje, it only feed voltaje for digitizer IC.
Any comment or help????
Thanks in advance
Marcos

Ipad 2 filter chip replacement

Hello all again, thanks for your quick responses.
I have tested and follow the steps on this image, and also investigate further with the schematics as I working as electronic. The filter is burnt and if I shortened it the backlight didn´t work. I have 4vcc on the large coil and 0V on the other side of the filter.
I think that the backlight needs abouit 20Vcc to full brill and this come´s from the PMIC, Has someone measured this voltaje on the large coil/diode/filter?
I don´t want to order parts outside my country if the faulty is the PMIC, I have SMD stations on my workshop but do not imagine me changing this IC ......
Thanks in advance

Unhappy Managed to make things worse

So I tried soldiering the jumper cable and managed to break the small cap on the LCD. What did I break? Is the LCD worthless now? I mean I can still see the screen, but no backlight still. http://i.*****.com/xjPnLtN.jpg
