Member: 2139614 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | iPad 2 - motherboard problem, dead, gets hot I have a problem with an iPad 2. I recieved it from a customer and it was not working, black screen, not detected by computer. Was used by a child, slight chance that it was dropped (the owner is not sure). Anyway, i opened it (it was never opened before) and found out that one element is very hot (diode D8100) and that L8112 gets slightly hot. I found out that the diode is damaged and i replaced it. After connecting the ipad again to the power source the diode got damaged again and still gets warm. Anyone knows what can be done in this situation? Could it be because of the FDMC6883 IC? Thanks for any advice |
