iPad 2 Problem Blackilight

hello,

i need help about a blacklight problem on ipad 2, i checked the motherboard and i seen that a capacitor was cracked, its the C2220 on the fisrt pic (i looked the reference on a Layer iPad 2), i removed this componment and i want to replace it by an other, so i found a capacitor on the web and i bought it and try to mount it on.
After that, i try to check if the blacklight is ok but it still dont work.

Can someone can say me if the capacitor that i bought is ok (reference on the second pic) and if not were can i buy this cap?

i Know that in a lot of case it the D8228 Blacklight IC Chip and the L2220 Blacklight Filter but i think they are ok.

Thanks

Check or change D8228 and L2200 one by one.
Make sure C2200 is not shorted to ground on both sides.

c2220 don't need to replace. iPad will work without it.

What knowledge do u have in electronics , as i see u have no clue about them .
That cap is only an anti parasite capaciter , and his role is to filter .
If u have an multimeter u can try to start measuring voltages , but first of all i think is better for u to start learning about components in ur ipad , and u wil understand how they all work .

If u check schematics there must be aroud 20 v on that cap , if there are not 20 v then the prob is from inverter .
U need good skills to repair that kind of problem , u can try to change diode and coil from light boost ic .

Hi tchang86, I have the same problem that you have the schematics that I have for the ipad 2 is different that the actual ipad 2 that I have its missing the L2200 and it doesnt have the L8229 its exactly as your ipad 2 on the last picture. I have change the d8228 diode and still I have a backlight problem, what fix your problem and did you figure out which was the L2200 ?

Thank you
