Member: 1593776 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | ipad 2 wont turn on after power off the only way i can turn it on is to enter exit dfu mode and also hold both buttons for a forced restart then it will turn on and work untill the next time its turned off my power button and home button are both fine so what could be the fault here thats making it go to restore mode when turned on i have restored 7.1 six times now a few times it wouldnt exit dfu after the restore but the restore was complete 100% fine and the hard reset worked but its a pain having to use a mix of dfu and hard reset just to get it to boot also when its dead i still have to hard reset a few times just to get the battery logo to show up the power button just stays on dfu black screen |

Member: 1593776 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | ok it seems that after doing a dfu mode restore itunes says its complete and the ipad will restart but it restarts into soft dfu mode and wont boot just asks me to restore again as ive said if i hold power+home it will reboot and work but this isnt a 100% work around as its taken me up to half a hour to kick it out of soft dfu mode by repeating the steps again and again with the ipad off i have tried to turn it on by pluging a charger in instead of using the power button but same results stuck in soft dfu mode if the battery is dead it wont even show the charging icon when connected it still goes into soft dfu and i have to kick it out of dfu before it will even show the battery logo and charge at times when doing a 15sec force reboot doesnt work i find holding power+home 10secs then release home and hold power 10 secs gets it to boot like dfu mode but other way lol Last edited by sliddon; 03-18-2014 at 20:59. |
