i tried my best to cleaned as much black crap around the nand ic, but it still does not lift out, how much heat do you recommend?
I use 190 c preheater with 320 c full air big noozle. But it depends on ur hot air station. U have to be patient wait a bit more even if it is ready to take off. there is one leg connected to ground it needs a bit more time to melt. Yes it has a lot of epoxy glue and it is very hard to remove.

I not think it is burned. There r 2 pads which has no connection if u lifted those no problm u can still solder. U can also make new pads if not too much work for u.

hello forum,
I have IPAD 4 wifi 16gb with icloud lock and it was working fine. Now i have removed the NAND and now there is nothing. when i connect to the USB without NAND it says "USB device not recognized" not detecting iphone even in DFU mode.

Could you please help me and suggest me what to do why it is not detecting in DFU mode.

Hi kaptanci
r u solved this problem???
I also have a ipad 4 with same problem.
I supply 4v to it. It just consump 50ma and dosent change.
So i also checked powers.. I think it seems to be ok.
But i found it something wrong point. i2c0 &i2c1 pull up volt is not 1.8v.
(PP1V8 is ok but PP1V8_H5? is not....)
So i think maybe problem is u2 ic....
How about u??

Hello dear

did you solve the problem with the dead.

I have iPad 4 it was working and then light was dim and then all screen is white and then black. Now it does not detect, no power. Unit is unopened. i have checked voltages on L8111 ok. But there is no volt on c3009 in t he boost section. But the device should be detected in PC.

Can you tell me where to check. its new board.

Regards,

I use 270 C to pre heat board and then up to 330 C
If you never done this before, try on a spare so you learn your heat gun and air setting. Air speed increase heat, but also heats other parts around, low air speed less heat but concentrates on a narrow space with in the nuzzle opening.
