Member: 1012778 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 245 | Sorry! this iPad have more FL's that can be damaged. I edited the photo above with 2 red rectangles. Check those parts for contiunity. In my case, the single FL under the metal shield was bad (Solution already posted here from somebody). PS: FL stands for Fuse-Coil, those parts will be burned if you don't take care when you connect plugs or some components are damaged, it's like a fuse to prevent from more damage! |

Member: 1979601 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I have this issue with none working backlight and I want to try the jump fix. I'm very confused where to jump though from what you guys are saying. Can someone pelase throughouly explain where exactly to jump to? The picture with the green line is very vague on where exactly to connect to near the LCD connector. Also does there need to be 2 jumpers on each side of that fuse or should i jump directly from the power point to the LCD area? Much appreciated if i can get a clear response on this. Under pressure to get this resolved. Also, for those of you who responded that high voltage and sudden drop can cause this, how in the future can I disconnect things and AVOID causing this again? Should I not disconnect battery? should I wait after disconnecting battery? should I short battery terminals after disconnecting to discharge capacitors? Help is very much appreciated. |
