Member: 2187027 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | iphone 4 coil/resistor replacement...? This is my first post and I'm kind of lost at the moment. So since earlier this week my iphone 4 decided to play up a bit. touchscreen sometimes doesn't work and sometimes no audio output/input while conversation. I've tried with a new front assembly, earpiece and loudspeaker and the problems still exist. So as I was looking up at the threads here I thought it might be due to the touchscreen ic and audio ic malfunction and reball is required. So I opened it up, then use my heatgun to heat up the motherboard and all of the sudden **** happened. This Coil and resistor moved and flew away and I could not find them back. So here I have left with an iphone with touchscreen problem, audio problem and it won't turn on. anyway my questions are, 1. is it possible to do a jumper for the resistor and the coil so that I can turn it back on? 2. am i on the right track thinking it's the audio ic and touchscreen ic that's causing the issues? thoughts and advice are very much appreciated. Cheers Sorry I guess I'm too new here so I can't upload any pics. atm. |

Member: 2187027 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | actually nevermind that's a stupid question to ask. I guess I'll have to look for a dummie iphone 4 board and take out the two components that i needed. now how am i sure that they are working correctly though? edit. the two components are the big fat coil next to u62 and the tiny resistor under the big fat coil. man I am so stupid... |
