iPhone 4 drop on sea when plug to pc only apple logo appears and auto off


please the situation of the phone was drop on the sea about 10mins then i disassemble and try to dry it up when power on it can't be power up but only apple logo when connect to pc hen it restarts the phone.

please i need help

something is shorted there.
first of all take your phone apart, remove all the shields on the board, clean it well with IPA or something like this, than clean all the connectors of the flex cables.
check if it works, if no --> check with another battery, if no --> disconnect power flex and try again, if no --> check for "iphone 4 full short find" at our forums and remove the components marked at red one by one until short is gone, good luck.

how sure are you if chris2007 change the battery all is working ? man is it water damage and changing the battery is not good idea nor can solve his problem,

just fallow the arvaser post above me, just clean all corrosion made by sea water may be you can revive you phone. as far as my experience when the phone damage on sea water is it 50 by 50 % but still you have a change to revive your phone

appale logo and restart phone means battery is disconnected...just change battery your problem will be solved...

i will try to clean all corrosion cause by sea water then change battery and post result
