iPhone 4 - logicboard - NO circuit pad - GSM-Forum

Hi guys,

I am trying to repair the iPhone 4 front camera issues. Done this many time in the past as the fuse above the 3 flex cables has been busted.

Usually when the fuse goes missing the is some soldering trace left and i just bridge them together and the problem is fixed.

However this time the fused + solder are completely gone. It seem the whole electrical circuit is gone and now no solder can be place on it.

It just won’t stick!

I’ve tried the following but still no luck

Circuit pen
Solder paste
Normal solder.

What do we do when you encounter this scenario? Solder track pad is gone! ….

Help needed..

If there is no pad, you need to find bypass. There is a bypass, i've seen it here on forum. Use search.

Usually we can fix the pads that are missing.

Ok if i'm correct when you mean bypass.. We need to wire Point A to B of the diagram you just shown?

itechguy. How do we fix the pads?

You need to dig carefully into the board. Preferably under a microscope. You should find some copper track.
