Iphone 3GS reboot every few minutes - GSM-Forum

I have a iphone 3GS that got wet (water damaged). I cleaned the logic board in alcohol and scrub it good with a toothbrush. I also bought new batteries from Ebay. After put it all together, the phone worked fine for a few minutes (make calls, wifi….) and reboot by itself. It keeps doing that if the phone plug into charger or in use. In sleep mode, the phone do not reboot by itself. I searched and this issue can be fixing by using the correct batteries. I tried a few batteries with different APN numbers but nothing work (I tried 616-0431, 616-0433, 616-0434 and 616-0435). I am running out of idea.

The phone is unlocked with ipad baseband.

I did, the original battery APN is 616-0431. I tried that and other batteries with higher APN (for newer 3GS). Non of them works on this phone.

Check this components if not missing damaged or no continuity.

Just having a thought it's not been previously flashed with the ipad baseband has it? I appreciate the post says it got wet, which is clearly a major issue, but the constant boot-loop problem is also associated with newer 3gs models not being compatible with the ipad baseband. Just thought it's worth checking out before you do to much hardware work
