i have the same problem. i hada change the coil, the backlight ic, and tha cap next to the coil, when i turn the iphone on i gets a the lcd light back on for a second the goes black again, i check the continuity and it seem that tha ic its out again, this is the third time i change the ic, in it alwasys does the same thing, why does this happend? the Phone was water damage averything else works fine,

can you not just buy the coil and IC with the original specs?

if it blinks
your coil is out again. if you got it on E.B.A Y there is good chance the inductance on is too low to drive the current up to power up the light so it burned out. either that or you damaged it while soldering it on

a burned coil can have continuity too, eve tho the inductance can be off. but yeah check the fuse, I don't think it's either the chip or the fuse resistor because if it blinks, the fuse Is likely still be good.

Friend i not want to offend you but almost all ic's and coils are made in China and you buy them directly from there possible on alibaba.com you buy allot cheap then add some $ and sell them with other price,i not know why moderators or administrators not ban you there is a separated section to sell your stuff.
