Restore error 1601, 1602 after stuck on "Prepairing iphone restore.." little bit long time. Redsnow says USB communication problem. Not be hot anywhere except USB connector sometimes. is it CPU A4 problem or NAND? Any solution please? Thank you very much |

99% is A4 CPU...try to give 10 min on ultrasonic cleaner, it should be ok! NAND IC has very big pads and a great distance between the pads, it is very difficult that they short. But A4 has 2 layers, CPU+RAM balls 0.3, so it could be the guilty

and try to measure across the caps if they are shorted or not, the big one near the NAND IC and the caps around the A4 CPU, expecially on the left...if they are shorted, you know for sure where the problem is

Hi guys, the one in DFU mode: I found C221 = 0.3V instead of 1.2V (PP1V2_SDRAM) in another working circuit board, is it rite in DFU mode or any related U7? see pic ![]() and other side of DFU board: L2_RF : 0V and C50_RF = 0V also? is it rite in DFU mode or any experience please? Thank you

sorry mate LOL a L is an inductor, is a wire, how can you think to have a voltage across it? lol you should measure resitance across that major bypass caps to see if they are shorted or not. When you'll find the shorted cap, you know where is the problem. CAP SHORTED ---> PROBLEM! INDUCTOR OPEN ---> PROBLEM! My advice is to clean it at least 10 min in ultrasonic cleaner before try any solution

Sorry I thought you knew all. Of course I know what is L and if L2_RF has volt or not in working board as well. Please check again. Thus when I mentioned about these meant I need to know what cause it or DFU causes it.

i know mate, but that is my method...check if caps are shorted or inductors are opened (in all the whole board, but expecially around A4 and PMIC). When you find the problem, you'll find also the BGA responsible of DFU damage ![]() L2_RF will always have 0V across it, but you need to check resistance, if beep ok, if not is bad, means that the coil is interrupted somewhere ![]() Check also if PMIC or other BGA is being hot

I don't think you're rite. Have you checked L2_RF? Let me tell what I tested: Working logic board: In working mode: L2_RF = 1.2V same voltage to C50_RF; L3_RF = 1.8V When put it into DFU mode: all 0V; 0V Could not measure C221 DFU faulty logic board: L2_RF = 0V but L3_RF = 1.2V?? As in the first post, not get hot anywhere
