iPhone 4 won't turn on and really hot when charging

Hi
I hav an iPhone 4 that won't turn on and also gets hot when charging
I've tried the reset and nothing !
I've tried to put in dfu mode and nothing it fails.
I've tried a new screen , still nothing
I've tried new battery and also tried a new proximity sensor
With no luck !!
I've tried stoppin and starting the apple services in control panel and also reinstalling the drivers, still nothing
Tried a new charging port and nothing works !!
The mother board just above the charge port connected gets really hot when charging so I'm beginning to think this is where the problem lies
Any advice will be appreciated
The only warning I get is when plugged into the comp it comes up with a warning that the USB device has malfunctioned please try unplugging and pluggin it in again
Help please !!! :-(

Hi!

Definetly your problem is in the logic board (the one that gets hot). Look what compenent in the board is the one is getting hot cause probably there is your problem.

Cheers!!!

Battery has been replaced thanks
The component getting warm is under the black heat film so means I would hav to effectively open the board up :-0
Bit beyond my capabilities really
Thank you

Can be a shorted capacitor. Here on the forum you can find some layouts of mostly shorted capacitors. The first step I would take is to test all of these.

You also can confirm a short by measuring the resistance between the - en + of the battery connector on the logic board.

Just to update
When plugged into charger it has stopped gettin hot , and now when plugged into the computer it won't even recognise it ! Nothing happens not even an error message :-(
Guess the board or capacitor is goosed !
Prob not gonna be cheap to repair , may just sell it as spares may b best option

Did you measure the resistance between the - and + and the battery connector ? (The 2 pins, one at the left and the other at the right, the 2 in the middle are there for another reason). So you measure the resistance between the 2 pins and let me know. If the resistance is low then there (mostly) is a short on the board somewhere.
