iPHone 4s boot loop with logo - battery not recgnized

HI, I have iphone 4s that:
1. only powers on fine when plugged into wall outlet.
2. does a boot loop with logo when plugged into the usb port on pc. Not recognized by iTunes. when this happens, I do a reset holding down power and home button. i get the connect to pc icon on phone, but then iTunes sees it for a second as I try to restore device, once it begins to access the device, it fails with 2001 error. Then back to boot loop with logo.

I looked under microscope and it seems the diodes and the battery connector are on pretty solid.

3. battery is fine. I have 3 good ones i used to test.

Can you help?

yes water damage.
I checked the battery connector - I checked and there was continuity from the pins to the 4 diodes as per a schematic I saw.... What can I check next? the logic board gets very hot during boot loop.
Thanks

I checked between pin 1 and 4 on the battery connector J9 and there is continuity, so that is bad, what can I try next?
Thanks for helping.

multimeter set on beep continuity test, OHM reading showing 007 with beep.

I tested with good 4s board showing no beep and 1505 in ohm setting.

Nope, your motherboard is shorted. Search this forum for 4S shorted solution.
