I have a phone 4s here that i just tried this with for all of you wondering, No service and weak signal with missing u21_rf and c46 rf.

Replaced c46 rf and jump pin 2 to 4 and now have 3 bars reception/signal. Can confirm this does work, however

I now have a new problem, the screen flickers a little but only on certain screens and i can only assume this is because of the jumper in place or because something needs to be done to ground pins 1 and 3 of u21 rf but i am without the electrical knowledge to confirm either way.

Pins 1 and 3, just leave. The screen flickering is a separate issue, maybe lcd and touch connectors need cleaning or resolder.

Nice one, thanked

Although i already cleaned the board, i stripped and did again but still suffered slight flicker but only in certain menu screens, this however sorted itself out after another restore.

On a side note i went to sleep and the phone was left unchecked until morning and to my surprise was working fine, i have now replace the component and all is well.

Thank you
