Ok, Have a coil from a ipod 4g that looks good. Is there any way to test D1? That looks like a rare component and don't think i have any of those lying about. What is it? I would like to test it while i have the coil off as it's a tricky one to access where it is.
Thanks for your good advice as always.

Check only that this diode is not short and it must show numbers in one direction if it show same numbers in both directions it is bad.
This diode is integrated in light ic on iphone 3G,3GS and 4g here it is separated.

Right, The coil has fixed the screen issue, Well done again WITES. !!!
Everything works fine except the WiFi is greyed out. I shall investigate further and see what i find.

PS. Wites, feel free to use the image above as a iphone 4s back coil fix post. I'm sure others will find it useful.
