iPhone 4S - Restore Error 1 After Battery Replacement

Hey guys,

I am having some restore issues with a particular iPhone 4S device, and hope you guys have some insight or suggestions. Initially, I replaced the battery on the phone, and booted into iOS. The phone was stuck with a "Searching..." indication, and I tried a few things without any luck (manually setting time, airplane mode, etc.). Next, I decided to try and update the phone to the latest iOS fw, at which point the update failed (at approximately 60%), and placed the phone into a recovery loop. Now, I am having trouble restoring the phone, and receive error 1 at approximately that same 60% point. Any ideas as to what I can try to resolve the issue?

Thanks!

After some further investigation, it looks like I knocked a chip off the main board (highlighted in green):

As I understand, I can jump this point? What is this point named?
Would it be possible to simply replace the chip and re-solder it?

Thanks.
