Iphone 4s Smashed Screen - GSM-Forum

All,

I have an Iphone 4s and the screen is smashed.

I am pretty confident I can fix it question is:

Do I need the screen and the digitizer or just the screen?
The touch screen still works but am i better off getting both straight away?

LCD and Digitizer / Glass are fully glued together, so separating isn't an easy job. Thus just buy an assembly and that's it.

BTW: Changing the front of an iPhone 4s is absolutely basic replacement and not really a hardware repair. I think that's why you didn't get an answer here.

Google is full of answers concerning the replacement of the front. You just have to spend a little of your own time and do searching and reading.

Buy a new one. There are not that expansive anymore.
You can split the lcd but you will found out that then your touch screen stops working. (chinees people also remove touch on iphone 4/4s)
