Member: 2208907 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | IPhone 4s Strange LCD behavior after water damage repair I have an Iphone 4s I'm attempting to repair that had received water damage. Prior to my attempt, it would power on and boot to the home screen properly and the display seemed to be working fine, although the phone had other issues from the damage. Now, after having cleaned the PCB and replaced the battery, all of the previous issues seem to be resolved and the phone is functioning properly except for one issue. The LCD screen will only display the apple logo when the phone is first booting, or insufficient power icon when the battery is too low to boot, or has just been plugged in. The LCD will not display anything after that, although the phone is functioning properly otherwise (I can use siri to send texts or calls for instance, and can use the digitizer to unlock the phone by guessing the location of the digits). I would appreciate any insight anyone could provide into this issue. |
