Iphone 5 dead after screen replacement - GSM-Forum

Hi, i was replacing the screen on an iphone 5 and when the new screen was installed it was working fine but the lcd was flickering slightly. I took the screen back out because i thought it may have been a loose connection. When i pryed the screen cable out i noticed the screen went black an unusual way almost as if it had lost power instead of how it normally looks. Since then the phone has been unresponsive. I have tested multiple screens on the phone with no joy. When a charger is connected it makes the noise for charging repeatedly about every 5-10 seconds. I was using a small screwdriver to pry the cable up and i think i may have shorted the phone some how and fryed something important.
Any help greatly appreciated. The phone is recognised on itunes.
