Member: 2393796 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | I am not 100% its the U2 ic it charges and usb works fine, I think it maybe a short in the wifi somewhere but will have a better look at the wifi when I get a chance. It's not a quick discharge take some hours at the moment timing the discharge on standby with every thing disconnected. Do not want to remove the U2 to find out its not shorted. |

Member: 2393796 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | Any help please, if you have fixed a Wi-Fi problem before. It's such a small area to test and with it connecting to router and actually working close to router makes me think its just an antenna short but tested it back to the Wi-Fi ic and ways are good. The battery charges and last about 12 - 14 hours on standby so I do not think its the U2 ic but a small short somewhere. have been fixing other phones and left this one just in case I get a helpful answer on here. Is there a amplifier for the Wifi ? Last edited by lshoa; 06-24-2015 at 08:56. |

Member: 2393796 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | Why do you think its the U2 it has no sign of a U2 problem ? Just because other have suggested does not mean it is the U2 as it charges properly. So give me your thoughts why its the U2? I think it might be RF Diplexer shorted. |

No idea what the history is its one I have bought to fix just thought I would ask if anyone has had a similar problem that fixed it without U2 being the problem. I do not think its the U2 myself but been busy fixing other phones while the parts are in the post, so once I get some more time I will be able to have a check on the Wi-Fi components to make sure its nothing to do with it first. No point changing things that are not broken. |
