iphone 5 Lcd went black then iphone heat a lot - GSM-Forum

Hi guys,

I tried repairing my rear camera two days ago (unplugging it, cleaning the connector) to no avail.

Today, on my way back from work, my lcd went all black and my phone became really hot.

I took the battery off, checked for any short and everything looks fine.

As soon as i reconnect the lcd connector to the motherboard, my phone gets really hot.

2 questions:

Do you think that if i change my lcd the problem will go away?

If not, what do you suggest to do?

The pmic doesnt get particularly hot. the heat seems to be coming from under the emi shield, next to all the connectors for the lcd, digitiser and the likes.....I checked for shorts and there is no kink or problematic dust anywhere.

check this caps if shorted then replace c351,c350,c353,c256,c288

can we get a picture of which caps to change?
