I have same issue, all sounds work on Iphone 5 like voice memo, ipod, ringer etc.

But when making or receiving a call the audio goes complete dead. No sound from earpiece or speakerphone. Also microphone does not work and sometimes i hear my own echo on the speakerphone.

I guarantee its hardware problem. The phone took a heavy hit around the baseband ICs

Can somebody point out which IC chip is responsible that controls the voice audio ????

Anybody HELP!!! This is common issue with iPhone 5

No solution yet? Same problem on a few phones over here. Feels exactly like the audio compiler (U62) on the iPhone 4. Sound works great on the phone, except for network calls..
