C'mon guys, Backlight problems with iPhone 5 is easy, 99% of the time is the FL24 fuse that burns out. Check for continuity, if not beep... it is burned.

Check if you have continuity on :

FL24
FL25
FL26

if ok, check if you have voltage here, if no voltage... check L3 or U23

FL24 is connecting pin # 5 of LCM connecter (J5 socket) with backlight IC. FL24 value is just only 0.8 ohm, if FL24 death TP20 (LCD Backlight Source) is connecting to pin # 5 only not connect with IC... so make a jump from pin # 5 to LCD BL CA Conn and check TP20 is connecting for both pin # 5 & LCD BL CA then you will get backlight lights up back on your LCD.
This problem happen because people like to use metal tool instead of plastic tool when disconnect LCD with main board so it causes FL24 damage or broken under black sticker - that all.

Me thinks someone not like that photo here, not that I care .

sussexman: not the same problem.... You need to check data filters for continuity.
