Member: 717129 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | Iphone 5 Proximity Sensor Help I have a water damaged iPhone 5 which has been cleaned and everything now works with the exception of the Proximity sensor. I have attached a photo showing the corrosion on the board connector however, I'm not sure what all the values should be on this plug and wondered if anyone has the informaton or any other helpful informaton that can help me to get the sensor workng again. I have checked the proximity ribbon in another phone and t works fine so it's something on the water damaged board that's at fault. thank you in advance |

Member: 1732818 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 532 | Check if parts FL4, FL45, FL58, R125 are moving, disconnected or broken. Check all J1 legs one by one if there is movement, specially the discolored black ones could be disconnected. Check the frontflex cable, maybe the new one is faulty.. Check if the proximity works with an other LCD screen. Sometimes the small square position thiny is glued wrong, too high or low. Or with a cheap screen the blue paint is too dark and blocking the sensor. |

Member: 777576 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 32 | i already double checked all the above mentioned filters and resistor, but nothing. also tryed out 3 or 4 different sensors (all working fine on other phones), but as soon as i turn the lcd on, it takes maybe 10-20 sec and i can feel the sensor getting very, very warm! the sensor doesn't work at all, of course... any idea? some1 had something like this too? |
