Member: 2064306 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | iPhone 5 U3 chip track broken Recently I bought this broken iPhone 5 with the hope of repairing it, the seller tried to replace the battery and he broke the U3 chip (rookie mistake). Then he tried to repair it and he broke a track and lost another component, can be seen in the picture that I posted below. aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZHJvcGJveC5jb20vcy94bTVyMndvcjh4dH I1NDAvU2NyZWVuc2hvdCUyMGZyb20lMjAyMDE0LTA2LTIwJTIw MDIlM0EwMyUzQTUyLnBuZw== That is BASE 64 encoded, just go to an online BASE 64 decoder to decode the link (haven't reached 10 posts yet) Is my assumption correct that the track is coming from the top of the track (can be seen in the pictures), if not could you please tell me where the track is coming from so I could jumper it to reinstall the U3 chip back (atleast he did not loose it). Also could anyone please tell me what the missing component is and if its safe to just jumper it. |

You must fit same Broken track unfortunately goes direct to U1 (CPU) and U7 (PMIC) so You must have a look under the microscope and rebuild it (scratch solder mask and trace a thin wire). Good luck |
