iphone 5c no touch after changing connector

hi guys, im hoping someone can really help me out here. I have an iphone 5c that had a damaged touchscreen connector on the board. the first time I changed the connector everything was working ok. but it seems I didn't solder it solidly and the connector cam partially loose. so I carefully removed it and fitted another one. this time soldering is very good and solid but there's zero touch on the screen? I don't have another 5c board here to do a comparison with so I cant check to see if ive knocked anything out of place. soldiering was done with a 12w and a 30w iron. (30w iron was to just go over each leg to make sure each one had a good join)

(also not sure if this is related or not, but just in case I thought id better mention it, my pc does not see the 5c or even try to charge it when plugged into my pc. there's nothing at all its as if I hadn't even plugged it into my pc)
