iphone 5s battery failed error 9

[sliddon]

just been given a 5s that wouldnt turn on due to inflated battery fault that pushed out and damaged the screen

before buying a new screen and battery i tested the logic board in my own 5s housing+screen it turns on shows the apple logo then just a black screen with backlight on

itunes says it needs a restore then gets as far as showing the update bar before doing a error9 then the screen will flash blue then stay black with backlight

any ideas? also its never had water damage...

I have exactly the same problem after rear housing replacement ! (the screw under proximity FPC connector it's not the cause), Can help ?

I tried putting the board in the old rear frame with just lightning connector, battery and lcd but it's same
